Woman Dies by Suicide Following Social Boycott in Yadgir District

A 46-year-old woman from Girinagar, Yadgir district, died by suicide after facing a social boycott imposed by leaders of the Sillekyata community. The boycott followed accusations against her son for an extramarital relationship with a pregnant relative, leading to mental harassment and restrictions on the family's fishing livelihood. Police have detained two suspects and are investigating the involvement of three others in the case.
