Delhi Faces Severe Cold Wave and Very Poor Air Quality with Some Areas in Severe Pollution

Delhi experienced a severe cold wave with minimum temperatures around 3-4°C and dense morning fog disrupting daily life. Concurrently, air quality remained in the 'very poor' category, with several areas such as Jahangirpuri, RK Puram, and Dwarka Sector 8 reporting 'severe' pollution levels (AQI above 400). The Central Pollution Control Board and India Meteorological Department forecast continued cold conditions and poor air quality for the coming days, raising health concerns especially for vulnerable groups.
