The National Commission for Women (NCW), led by chief Vijaya Rahatkar, will conduct week-long 'Mahila Jan Sunwais' public hearings across nearly 500 districts in India starting March 8. These hearings aim to address over 15,000 women's grievances, including walk-in cases, by collaborating with state women's commissions. Rahatkar will personally attend hearings in states where chairpersons are absent and visit several key districts. The initiative seeks to enhance access to justice, especially in remote areas, and strengthen institutional support for women nationwide.
