A gypsum panel ceiling collapsed in a portable cabin classroom at Dyal Singh College, Delhi University, during a sixth-semester BA History class, with no injuries reported. College officials attributed the incident to ageing infrastructure and noted stalled redevelopment projects. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) inspected all porta cabins, vacated and locked them, demanding repairs within 10 days. College authorities assured that safe classrooms will be restored promptly to resume regular classes.
