Man Dies from Burns in Tent Fire at Magh Mela in Prayagraj

A 25-year-old man, Manas Mishra, died from severe burn injuries after a fire broke out in his tent at the Magh Mela grounds in Prayagraj on Thursday night. The fire occurred in Sector 5, and Mishra was alone inside. He was rushed to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital but succumbed to his injuries on Friday. Authorities noted this was the third fire incident at the event in recent days, with preliminary reports suggesting an oil lamp inside the tent may have caused the blaze. An autopsy is underway, and the administration may provide ex-gratia to the family.
