Assam has inaugurated the 227-crore Batadrava Cultural Project at the birthplace of Vaishnavite saint Srimanta Sankardeva in Nagaon district. The project redevelops 162 bighas with Sattriya-inspired architecture, featuring the world's tallest Guru Asana, themed guest houses, an art centre, and a japi-shaped theatre. It aims to preserve Vaishnavite heritage and establish Borduwa as a spiritual and cultural tourism hub.
