An Indian national, Madhesh Ravichandran from Tamil Nadu, has been awarded nearly 67,000 pounds (approximately 81 lakh rupees) in compensation by a UK employment tribunal. The tribunal found that his manager at a London KFC outlet subjected him to racial discrimination, including being called a 'slave' and 'fraudster,' and unfairly denied leave requests. The manager also allegedly prioritized Sri Lankan Tamil colleagues over Indian staff. Ravichandran claimed wrongful dismissal and harassment, leading to his resignation. The company, Nexus Foods Limited, was found guilty of race discrimination.
