The Idu Mishmi Cultural and Literary Society (IMCLS) has objected to the relocation of a hoolock gibbon family in Lower Dibang Valley, asserting it was done without community consent and misrepresents the situation as a 'rescue'. The IMCLS demands a halt to wildlife relocations without free, prior, and informed consent, emphasizing their traditional conservation practices and community-based conservation models. Legal notices have been issued to Forest Department officials and the Wildlife Trust of India, highlighting a perceived disregard for local consent in conservation efforts.
