
Veer Soren, 19-year-old grandson of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, died suddenly on February 24 during a trip to Manali, Himachal Pradesh. After visiting high-altitude areas like Solang Valley and Hamta Pass with friends, he complained of a severe headache, took medication, and later lost consciousness, falling from his bed. Despite emergency medical efforts, he was declared dead at Civil Hospital Manali. Police suspect high-altitude sickness but are investigating all angles. The family declined a post-mortem, and no external injuries were found. Jharkhand leaders expressed condolences.
