
Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla emphasized the need for sincere efforts to make the state tuberculosis-free by 2026, noting the failure to meet the 2024 elimination target. Chairing a review meeting in Shimla, he urged social organizations and individuals to become Nikshay Mitras, supporting TB patients with nutritional and diagnostic aid under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan. The governor has personally adopted 59 patients and distributed nutrition kits to support treatment adherence.
