In Madhya Pradesh's Sehore district, a private school's principal, a security guard, and a driver were removed following allegations of severe punishment for incomplete homework. Seventh-grade students were reportedly stripped, made to stand in the cold, and forced to do chores. Visuals of the alleged abuse, reportedly two months old, sparked outrage and protests by parents and community organizations. The education department has ordered the school to pay a Rs 1 lakh fine and is conducting an inquiry into the unacceptable and cruel practices.
