UP Authorities Cover Mosques and Enhance Security Ahead of Holi Festival

Ahead of Holi, authorities in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh and Sambhal have implemented security measures to maintain communal harmony. In Aligarh, the Halwaiyan Mosque has been covered with tarpaulin for several years to prevent color splashes during celebrations. Similarly, over 10 mosques in Sambhal, including the Shahi Jama Masjid, have been covered with tarpaulins, especially along procession routes. Police have increased surveillance, including drone monitoring of processions, and deployed additional personnel to ensure peaceful festivities with community cooperation.
