Uttar Pradesh Authorities Enhance Security and Cover Mosques Ahead of Holi Festival

Ahead of Holi celebrations in Uttar Pradesh, authorities in Aligarh and Sambhal have implemented security measures to maintain communal harmony. In Aligarh, the Halwaiyan Mosque at Abdul Karim Chowk has been covered with tarpaulin for several years to prevent colours or objectionable materials from being thrown. Similarly, over 10 mosques in Sambhal are covered, with 64 processions monitored by drones. Police have increased surveillance, deployed additional personnel, and conducted flag marches to ensure peace during the festivities.
