Shree Jagannath Temple to Begin Ratna Bhandar Inventory on March 25

The Shree Jagannath Temple authorities have decided to begin the inventory of the Ratna Bhandar treasury on March 25, after 48 years. Scheduled between 12:12 pm and 1:45 pm, the timing was chosen as auspicious by scholars and religious experts. The inventory will start with the Bahar Bhandar (outer chamber) containing daily-use ornaments, followed by the Bhitar Bhandar (inner chamber). The process will be digitized, with an e-catalogue prepared, and will avoid weekends and festival days to prioritize devotees' darshan. The last inventory in 1978 took 72 days, but the duration for this exercise is yet to be determined.
