Pharmacies in Tamil Nadu are now displaying QR codes and a toll-free number to enable the public to report suspected adverse drug reactions. This initiative, mandated by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), aims to strengthen patient safety and pharmacovigilance nationwide. Tamil Nadu is reportedly the first state to implement this, allowing seamless reporting of side effects experienced after taking medicines. The measure is intended to enhance drug safety and protect public health.
