Hyderabad Police Launches 'Margadarshak' Initiative to Support Women and Children

Hyderabad Police launched 'Margadarshak', a community-based guidance initiative under a Public-Private Partnership model, to enhance safety for women, children, and vulnerable individuals. The program complements existing support systems like SHE Teams and Bharosa Centres by training volunteers to guide those facing harassment or distress toward formal legal and police assistance. Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar emphasized community participation and advised volunteers to avoid taking law enforcement into their own hands, aiming to bridge gaps in awareness and access to institutional help.
