A 40-year-old man, Kesar Singh Kathait, suffered severe injuries to his head and hands during a bear attack in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand, on Thursday. He was near a school in Khunana village with his sheep when the incident occurred. Kathait managed to free himself using a sickle. He was initially treated at a local health center before being airlifted to AIIMS, Rishikesh, where his condition is now reported as stable.
