The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) will launch a conservancy and solid waste management project in 14 Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board (TNUHDB) tenement locations, serving 13,239 households. Chennai Enviro Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has been engaged to manage daily waste collection, street cleaning, and waste transportation using battery-operated vehicles. The project, estimated at over 60 lakh rupees monthly, aims to address irregular conservancy services and is scheduled to begin on March 1, 2026, with 119 personnel deployed.
