Global Naga Forum Condemns Factional Clashes in Myanmar’s Naga Homeland

The Global Naga Forum expressed deep concern over recent factional violence between NSCN-K (Ang Mai Mulatonu) and NSCN-K (Yung Aung) in Naga-inhabited areas of northwestern Myanmar, which resulted in Naga casualties and heightened regional tensions. The forum condemned the clashes, calling for immediate de-escalation and dialogue, and canceled its planned visit to the Naga New Year celebrations in Layshi due to security concerns. Meanwhile, NSCN GPRN (Yung Aung) accused the opposing faction of provoking the conflict, highlighting ongoing disputes over territorial control.
