For the 2027 Kumbh Mela in Nashik, Indian Railways is implementing an extensive security plan involving 3,000 Railway Protection Force personnel. A new AI-enabled surveillance system with over 200 CCTV cameras will monitor crowd density and enable real-time responses. To manage pilgrim flow, some trains will be diverted from Nashik Road station to nearby locations, alongside increased patrols and checkpoints.
