A long-billed vulture, identified as J132, released in Maharashtra's Pench Tiger Reserve on December 11 as part of a conservation program, has traveled approximately 750 km in 17 days, reaching near Nashik. The vulture, one of 14 captively bred birds fitted with GPS tags, followed a route through several districts before arriving near Anjaneri hills. Researchers from the Bombay Natural History Society are monitoring its movements, noting it has fed during its journey. Other released long-billed vultures are also exploring wider regions.
