Jadavpur University Forms Probe Panel After Campus Clashes Injure Teachers and Students

Jadavpur University witnessed violent clashes between student groups SFI and We The Independent (WTI) on February 20, injuring two teachers who intervened and several students. The university formed an inquiry committee to investigate and promised strict disciplinary action and preventive measures. Following this, a postgraduate student was allegedly assaulted after a freshers' event, leading to hospitalization and further campus tension. The administration condemned the violence, urged calm, and called for collective efforts to maintain a safe academic environment.
