E-Health System Introduced at Edamalakkudy Family Health Centre in Kerala

The family health centre in Edamalakkudy, Kerala's first tribal panchayat, has implemented an e-health system, enabling patients to schedule online appointments at nearby hospitals and access digital medical records. Health Minister Veena George highlighted the distribution of Unique Health Identification (UHID) cards and staff training as key steps toward making the centre paperless. This development aims to improve healthcare access for the remote Muthuvan tribal community, addressing previous challenges in providing permanent medical services.
