Over 3 Crore Devotees Take Holy Dip at Prayagraj's Sangam on Mauni Amavasya

On Mauni Amavasya, a key bathing day of the Magh Mela in Prayagraj, over 3.15 crore devotees took a holy dip at the Sangam and Ganga ghats despite dense fog and cold weather. Authorities deployed more than 10,000 police personnel and implemented extensive security, crowd management, and sanitation measures across the 800-hectare mela area. Facilities include 12,100 feet-long bathing ghats, tent cities for pilgrims, and transportation services to ensure safety and smooth movement during the festival.
