
In February, over 6,000 passengers were penalised for travelling without valid tickets or with irregular tickets in Jammu Railway division, resulting in Rs 38 lakh in fines. Led by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal, the campaign aimed to ensure safe travel and raise awareness about using valid tickets and digital payment apps. To manage increased passenger flow, especially around the Holi festival, Jammu Division is operating special trains and enhancing security and amenities at stations with support from Railway Protection Force and CCTV monitoring.
