
An incident of ragging and assault by senior MBBS students on juniors at Government Doon Medical College, Dehradun, has prompted an investigation by the college's Anti-Ragging Committee. Juniors were allegedly beaten with belts, causing mental distress to at least one student who filed a complaint. The administration has fined 24 students for indiscipline and may suspend those found guilty after the inquiry. The college emphasized that such behavior will not be tolerated, noting similar past incidents and ongoing disciplinary measures.
