Over 100 Guests Fall Ill from Suspected Food Poisoning at Kalyan Pre-Wedding Event

Around 100 to 125 guests fell ill due to suspected food poisoning after consuming food served at a haldi ceremony during a pre-wedding event in Kalyan, Thane district, Maharashtra. Several affected individuals, including the bride and her family, experienced symptoms like nausea and vomiting and were treated at local hospitals. Authorities have initiated an inquiry, with the caterer from Ahmedabad questioned and food samples sent for testing. Most patients have reportedly recovered and returned home.
