
A newly unveiled statue of the Hindu deity Hanuman at a temple in Sugar Land, Texas, has drawn criticism from some conservative influencers and protesters who have labeled it a "demon god." The Hindu American Foundation has filed a complaint, calling the comments inflammatory and a violation of the First Amendment. The statue, intended to symbolize strength and devotion, was erected with a ceremony celebrating Indian American identity, but faced protests from some who prayed for the country and the souls of the "condemned."
