Malappuram's District Medical Officer (DMO) has warned diagnostic and scanning centers against offering prenatal sex determination services, deeming it a punishable offense. Dr. T.K. Jayanthy announced stringent measures for violators and stated that newly registered centers will receive special training. Awareness campaigns through posters and boards are planned. A meeting also emphasized that only qualified doctors can operate these centers, urging proper registration for new facilities.
