Forest officials in Pathanamthitta district successfully rescued a three-year-old female tiger that had fallen into a well in a village near the forest fringe. The operation, involving a specialized team, took over seven hours. The tiger, found to be healthy, was tranquilized and taken to the forest station. While residents are concerned about wildlife straying, officials noted this is the first tiger sighting in the area, typically known for elephant encounters. Permission is being sought to release the tiger back into the wild.
