
Six children, including five girls aged between 7 and 12, drowned while bathing in a water-filled pit in Lohargava village, East Champaran district, Bihar. According to villagers and police, one girl slipped and began drowning, prompting the others to jump in to rescue her, resulting in all six drowning. District officials recovered the bodies and sent them for post-mortem examination. The incident occurred late on Tuesday under Kesariya police station jurisdiction.
