A consignment of Lantus SoloStar insulin, a widely prescribed long-acting basal insulin in India, was reported stolen, prompting a nationwide safety alert. The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) warned that improper storage outside the required 2°C to 8°C range could compromise the drug's potency, posing health risks to diabetes patients. Sanofi India confirmed the theft, lodged an FIR, and is cooperating with authorities. Patients are advised to avoid unauthorized sellers and report any side effects promptly.
