
Environmentalist and Rajya Sabha member Balbir Singh Seechewal has led significant efforts in environmental conservation and humanitarian service in 2025. His work on the Buddha Darya river has shown visible improvements in water quality and ecosystem health, with a focus on restoration. Seechewal also provided flood relief in the Mand region, distributing aid and assisting with land rehabilitation. Furthermore, he facilitated the safe return of 27 Indian nationals stranded abroad and repatriated the mortal remains of 15 deceased Indians.
