
On International Women's Day, an all-women crew operated the Ranchi-Irgaon passenger train in Jharkhand, including the loco-pilot, assistant loco-pilot, train manager, ticket examiners, and Railway Protection Force personnel. The train covered 58 km with nine stops, managed entirely by women. Officials highlighted growing female participation in railways, improved safety for women travelers, and government encouragement for women in traditionally male-dominated roles.
