
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has proposed constructing a 3,000-bed Vishram Sadan on a two-acre site at Ansari Nagar, Delhi, to replace its existing 300-bed facility and provide shelter for patients and their attendants who currently face accommodation shortages. AIIMS has offered land to the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) for erecting additional tents. The Delhi High Court has urged cooperation among agencies and requested the Delhi High Court Bar Association to support the project, which is expected to be completed within two years.
