Twenty-seven Indian nationals have been safely repatriated to India after being trafficked to Myanmar under the guise of lucrative overseas job offers. They were subjected to coercion, physical abuse, and forced into cyber scam operations. The rescue was facilitated through diplomatic channels after a Member of Parliament alerted the External Affairs Minister, leading to sustained efforts by the Indian Embassy in Yangon.
