Assamese Violinist Minoti Khaund Passes Away at 85

Minoti Khaund, a renowned Hindustani classical violinist from Assam, passed away at 85 in a Guwahati hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest. With a career spanning over five decades, she was celebrated for popularizing the violin in Assam and performed nationally and internationally. Trained under Pandit VG Jog, she received multiple honors including the Sangeet Natak Akademi award and Assam's Silpi Bota. Her family announced her cremation at Nabagraha Crematorium, with condolences from various communities.
