In Punjab's Fatehgarh Sahib district, a 75-year-old Sikh woman, Rajinder Kaur, has donated five marlas of land to build a mosque in the village of Jakhwali. The Muslim community had been seeking a mosque for decades, with residents previously traveling 2 km to pray. Kaur's grandson stated the land was registered in the name of the Muslim committee. The initiative, supported by donations from Sikh and Hindu families, aims to foster communal harmony in the predominantly Sikh village, which already has a gurdwara and a temple.
