The Hangul population at the Tral breeding center in south Kashmir has grown to 323, up from 127 in 2008, officials reported. This growth was noted during a Wildlife Board meeting chaired by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, which also approved several development projects and discussed conservation efforts. The board emphasized sustainable biodiversity management, wildlife habitat conservation, and promoting eco-tourism, while also addressing crop damage by wild animals and exploring compensation for farmers.
