Delhi Plans Kashmiri-Style Houseboat and Eco-Friendly Yamuna River Cruise

Delhi is developing two distinct projects to enhance leisure and tourism along the Yamuna River. The Delhi Development Authority is constructing a Rs 4-crore traditional Kashmiri-style houseboat at Baansera Park, serving as a land-fixed event and leisure space, expected to complete within six months. Separately, a Rs 20-crore eco-friendly Yamuna River cruise with a hybrid engine is planned to launch by February 2026, operating between Sonia Vihar and Jagatpur to promote green tourism and connectivity.
