Kashish Methwani, crowned Miss International India 2023, has been commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Indian Army after completing 11 months of training at the Officers Training Academy in Chennai. Born in Pune, she holds an MSc in Biotechnology and reportedly received a PhD offer from Harvard University before choosing to serve her country. Methwani, who cleared the CDS exam with an All India Rank 2, is the first woman officer in her family and aims to balance her military career with diverse interests including dance, shooting, and social work.
