
The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) has written to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) detailing over a dozen reported incidents of harassment against Kashmiri students and vendors across India in the past ten days. The association highlighted threats, physical assaults, and forced slogan chanting against traders, alongside denial of accommodation and verbal abuse targeting students. While authorities in some states have intervened effectively, JKSA noted a disturbing lack of action and FIR registration in Himachal Pradesh, despite recurring incidents.
