
The Delhi Forest Department has approved transplantation of 32 trees for the expansion of apron facilities at Indira Gandhi International Airport, prohibiting any tree-felling. As compensatory afforestation, 320 saplings will be planted and maintained for seven years near Terminal 3. Separately, permission was granted to transplant 40 trees for Delhi Metro Rail Corporation works near RK Ashram Metro Station. Transplantation requires prior notification, geo-tagging, and adherence to wildlife protection conditions.
