
The National Consumer Helpline (NCH) facilitated Rs 45 crore in refunds across 31 sectors between April 25 and December 26, 2025, resolving 67,265 consumer grievances. The e-commerce sector led with Rs 32 crore in refunds from 39,965 grievances, followed by travel and tourism with Rs 3.5 crore from 4,050 grievances. The NCH operates pre-litigation under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, offering speedy dispute resolution and reducing the burden on Consumer Commissions. Expansion of convergence partners has enhanced its effectiveness nationwide.
