Tuman village in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district received its first motorable road after India's independence, connecting it to Shakeld. The 2.7-kilometer Public Works Department project culminated in a celebratory trial run of a Himachal Road Transport Corporation bus. Locals expressed joy and gratitude for the improved connectivity, distributing sweets and organizing welcome ceremonies, while appealing for the continuation of the bus service.
