A 12-year-old boy in Nagpur was rescued by child protection authorities after being allegedly chained and locked up by his parents due to misbehavior. The child protection team found him in a frightened state with severe bruises, having been kept without food or water. The parents, daily-wage laborers, claimed the boy was mischievous and involved in petty theft. A complaint has been registered, and the child is receiving medical treatment and counseling.
