Ayodhya Boatmen Receive Training to Enhance Tourism and Cultural Storytelling

The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has launched a three-day training program starting January 15 for around 60 boatmen from Ayodhya's Sarayu River. The initiative aims to equip boatmen with skills in digital payments, safety, storytelling, and emergency response to enhance tourist experiences. Participants, mainly from traditional river-ferrying communities, are being trained to serve as cultural guides, connecting visitors with Ayodhya's heritage while promoting community-led tourism and livelihood opportunities.
