An idol discovered near Gangaikonda Cholapuram has confirmed the location of Nathamunigal's 'Thiruvarasu,' the memorial of the first Vaishnavite Acharya. The idol, found buried with 'thalams' in its hands, along with other remnants, indicates a lost temple at the site, now locally known as Ulagalantha Cholagam. This discovery clarifies the birthplace of Nathamunigal, a key figure in recovering the Nalayira Divya Prabandham.
