Following a recent helium gas cylinder explosion near Mysuru palace that resulted in three fatalities, street vendors have been removed from the vicinity. The Karnataka State Street Vendors' Maha Mandala has appealed to authorities for permission to resume business, citing the Street Vendors Act of 2014. They seek regulated vending zones, ID cards, and adherence to safety norms, including approved gas cylinders, while assuring compliance with palace board conditions.
