A vegetable seller, Ravindra Dani, was trampled to death by an elephant near Simrabeda Mahto Tola in Jharkhand's Bokaro district while returning home late Sunday. Officials said his vehicle overturned, and after he exited, the elephant attacked him. Locals had warned of elephant presence, and the vehicle's headlights were reportedly not working. Authorities have initiated compensation procedures and deployed a quick response team amid concerns over frequent elephant movements in the area.
